Just did Live Chat with NF and they say "no". Full list of countries here but I'm not certain it means you can access your UK account from those countries.
You can get an app to fool a server as to your location. Alternatively, what we do is use Google Play and download for offline viewing. iTunes may do the same, don't know.

Some, for that read "the majority", of campsites in France don't seem to have particularly fast WiFi so when everyone jumps onto their weapon of choice the supply seems to grind to a halt.
I know that some site owners are getting very stressed about downloading videos etc. There are new rules on copyright that apply in France; perhaps some one who lives in France could give us an update on this?
Streaming video isn't an option for us, never mind when 20 connections are all online at the same time. As HB says, connection speeds out here in the sticks aren't the fastest. Good enough for general web browsing and emails, but not for streaming.
Yes, there is a law concerning downloading. The 'Loi Hadopi'. I know at least one gite owner who has received a letter from the state regarding downlaods from peer to peer sites emanating from her IP address. Three strikes and you're out! It can be very difficult for owners to ascertain who is downloading what from where.
