Please could I have some advise on towing to Camping Soleil de la Plage near Sarlat , all routes seem to take you to junction 55 of the A20 then on some rather narrow roads, our Caravan tom tom , takes us off the A20 before exit 55 and routes us through Sarlat, not sure going through a major tourist area in August with a caravan is a good idea, however, we are slightly concerned about the roads towards out destination once we leave the A20 at exit 55.... Help please !!!

Apart from the very last section of your trip the road from Souillac towards Soleil Plage is perfectly acceptable. I have towed directly to that site (not my cup of tea)but I have used the road many many times with a 7.25metre van in tow. Ok you can't whizz along but there is little to fear IMHO.
Jaiash Is right about the road in from the Souillac side, and the road in from the Sarlat side is doable too. Sarlat does have a by pass now so you don't have to drive through the town, but coming from that direction there's one stretch with nail biting overhanging cliffs. Take your pick!
And the campsite isn't our cup our tea either, but many people love it.

Tbf, 1000s of other caravanners manage so I'm sure you can too. Narrow roads to campsites go with the territory in the Dordogne. If you do get in a 'situation' on a narrow road, just sit there & fold your arms & let the other driver back up. You are not in a hurry, but most French are.

Thanks for your advise, really appreciated, think we will take the Souillac side and take our time, we do have two further caravans following so hope they agree.
