We're taking our bell tent and stove to the Netherlands in a couple of weeks and would rather buy wood there rather than lug it with us. We'll need a decent amount as we will be using the stove for cooking. We're staying on the West Coast near Haarlem. Anybody know the sorts of places that sell larger bags of firewood for a reasonable price (rather than the small quantity tourist bags)?
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Firewood into Google translate = brandhout in Dutch.
Brandhout Haarlem into Google = this place. If you Google translate website it states that you can collect or they deliver in the Haarlem area.
Most Dutch speak English so you will probably be able to phone them & they will probably answer emails in English. Otherwise, once you are there you can just collect wood in bags from them.

I've never seen firewood for sale there, and I've never seen anyone having a fire on a campsite either.
I have! At Duinrell last year, about 8 foot away from the front of my tent, burning tree branches - and Security did nothing!!
