My best mate has suggested a battlefield tour next year. It is all tentative and could be France or Belgium.
Due to time and distance we'd be flying out and hiring a car. Now, I have no problem with a lightweight tent in my rucsac but what about the stove?
Are the Coleman/edelrid type en417 canisters readily available over there. I also have the choice of my svea and Coleman sportster petrol stoves but would they allow an empty petrol stove on the plane? And what about fuel?
Any tips greatly appreciated.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!

Yeah, that is an option. I'm a stingy git though.
I could just take my primus which takes campingaz but it is a bit bulky.
We are now narrowing it down to a flight to Brussels and on to Ypres and the Messines ridge.
