Keep inner tent zipped up as much as poss, still probably won't keep them out though. It won't be cool during the day but you won't be in it.

Many people swear by a garlic tablet every day for a month prior to holiday to ward off the midges. We've been in France for four weeks now with no problems but to be honest not seen many of the little blighters. But don't know if that's because of the tablets or not

I take fans.
My teens like to lay on their beds at some point during the day so I put a fan in each of their tents if they want it.
As for mosies I use mosquito milk roll on, find that very good. Before bed the kids use the electric bat zapper to clear their pods.

A cheap mosquito net, hanging from the awning poles? We took one with us to France as our son was planning to join us. In the event it didn't happen, but we put it up in the caravan one very mosquito-ridden night and it saved us from being bitten at all. I think it cost us just £13 and was worth every penny - so much so that we've decided on a semi-permanent fix to rig it up every night.
