I'm going to st malo area soon. I've heard that the Calais to abbéville toll is a useful one. Can anyone else suggest a route or any more tolls I should take.

The route is straightforward enough mostly motorway, some of it toll. I would avoid the route through Rouen as bridge is closed until August so take the route A16 Calais, Boulogne, Abbeville then take A28 towards Rouen then A29 to Le Havre, then A13 Caen, A84 towards Rennes, St Malo, all those towns mentioned are signposted on the route so you can't really go wrong.

I'm sorry but your question isn't very clear. Are you going to St Malo, driving from Calais and do you mean non-toll? The A16 autoroute is free from Calais to Boulogne, and then you have to pay for the section between Boulogne and Abbeville - and I think it's quite expensive.

The Michelin atlas is detailed enough - and shows the non-toll sections which have blue 'lollipops' for the mileage markers rather than red ones.

Bison Fute website will show road closures and it's updated regularly so is always up to date.http://www.bison-fute.gouv.fr/index,langen.html

I agree with fixings.....take Le Havre/Caen route instead of the Rouen option
