This might sound like a stupid question, but we are new to camping abroad. we are camping in France this year, and I have a question re. gas cylinders
Basically, are you allowed to take gas cylinders on the ferry, or do we need to get a camping gaz regulator and purchase a gas cylinder in France?
Thanks in advance

Eurotunnel accepts caravans and motorhomes with their gas bottles capped and/or turned off. They do not accept vehicles with LPG tanks. We had to show our gas bottles before boarding on the way to France, and had a gas sticker put on the windscreen to confirm it had been done. On the way back? No checks at all. That was in Feb and March 2005
If you have Calor gas be sure to take enough with you for the trip, better to invest in some Camping Gaz as it is widely available in Europe. Get a regulator and a cylinder to have as back-up in case you run out of Calor.

I agree with jennifernn.Camping Gas was widely available in France ,all the big Supermarches sold it "off the shelf" and had a wide range of regulators etc available.in all the other 6 countries visited last year CG was by far the easiest to get.
