There is a major revamp of the junction of the Chartres by Pass - the N123 with the A11/N154 and this is likely to cause hold-ups for all those using the toll-free route via Chartres mentioned often on here! I meant to post about it when we came back in mid-June, but forgot until reminded by another post on another forum today.
The problem junction is to the south of Chartres and we were held up there for about fiteen minutes, others apparently for much longer.

Hi Val,
Thanks for all your useful posts, especially for all the ones who are going abroad.
I have tried several times to contact you by email, but it seems there is something wrong. Please, contact me.
Regards, Archie
Hi Archie - we're in Greece at the moment (a surprise birthday present) and I have been locked out of both my email accounts. I've just managed to unlock one of them but not the other. I'll email when I get back home again.

We travelled South today from Calais. We left Calais about 8am, we went via Rouen using the A29 and A150. The route was absolutely fine with no hold ups.
Just North of Dreux where there are a number of sets of traffic lights we got held up, probably only by 10 mins but it was slow til we passed the lights. Chartres was fine as well no hold ups at all!
This might of been because everyone was on the A10, which was very busy until the A20 split but by this time it was lunch so most of the French filled the aires whilst we kept going and the roads have been clear since then.
