Hi folks

I'm after a campsite in the Vendee or Charente area.  I'm after somewhere with clearly defined pitches for tents, i.e. with hedges/bushes between pitches.

I don't depeartely need night life - definitely not past midnight/1 AM.

Coastal would be prefeable.

Any suggestions from you good people out there?

Paul

Paree Preneau near St Hilaire in the Vendee, relaxing site and clear pitches, some odd shaped ones as well.   They have a website.

La Foret is good too, near St John de Monts http://www.eurocampindependent.co.uk/

5 mins walk to sandy beach. Quiet after 11.30pm.

You could consider the Bonne Anse Plage at La Palmyre near Royan too. There is a review on this site.
