Just a mention to those who may be using this route next Sunday that the Commodore Clipper hit the sea bed outside of Guernsey yesterday and is currently out of service. Hopefully will be up and running but they are currently assessing what damage my have been caused.

Yes Condor Ferries! causing havoc with the school holidays just starting, now they are relying on the high speeds from Poole and Weymouth. Hope they sort it soon for those who use the Clipper from Portsmouth to Guernsey, Jersey and of course Cherbourg

Hope they are not relying on Poole high speeds too much ... as they don't run them to France any more!! Unless you want to go via the channel islands in which case it will take about 8 hours with the stopover ... not exactly fast

Just a heads up, local news report that the Clipper is in dry dock in Falmouth, and they say it should be back in service on 27 July. Probable cause of it hitting the sea bed is that we had an earthquake of 4.6 last week and they think the sea bed has moved.
Debbie I think Condor will be in touch with you.

Hope you all got away OK and have a great holiday, we in the Islands are suffering food shortages as a lot of freight comes in on the Clipper, good job we have our Jersey Royals and my freezer is well stocked.

Thanks for the update. I wanted to book the Sunday only fast craft to Cherbourg, but OH was concerned about booking onto a once a week service. What happens if it can't run??? Well, now we know!
