If you are trying to get in or out of Versailles using the A86 Autoroute please be careful as it only allows vehicles up to 2.0 metres high

There are signs on the A86 Autoroute showing the alternative route for high vehicles (over 2m) that takes you round on the N12 to rejoin the Autoroute later on.

There is a height barrier on A86 that should stop you going onto the wrong road.

The 2 Mtr height restriction is because the a86 uses the duplex tunnel for about 13kms

If you do manage to get under the barrier by mistake there is a slip road at the peage just before the tunnel that allows you to get back on to the N12 (not that we've done it of course but we know someone who did )
