We use C&CC Arrival, which is RAC. it covers the MH and all our other cars in UK and Europe.

No German based, and if you go with them any breakdown in the UK will be dealt with by the AA - though you have to ring the German number to report the breakdown.  They are one of the few companies who will insure an older vehicle for breakdowns.

You don't need to be a UK member - ADAC just use them as 'agents' in this country, so they come out to any ADAC member who has had a breakdown.   I don't have the phone numbers you need (English speakers at the German HQ) at the moment, but I 'know a man who does' and will come back to you with the number asap.

I can, from experience recommend ADAC! My wife broke her leg badly in France earlier this year, I was not too pleased with their initial response, but once they got moving they were brillient!, they went over the alternatives, i.e them repatriatrating wife and me, and then bring outfit home for me, or fly me out later to pick up the outfit, but in the end we agreed it was best to fly my wife to my sons house in England, I drove the outfit back to our storage site in Normandy, then on to sons house where stayed until Ann was fit to travel on to home (in N.Ireland) I think the early probs I had with them was that I unfortunately got the wrong, very opiniated lady, who became our case officer, but once we got past her things were perfect. I WILL be renewing my membership.

Actually it doesnt. The basic Arrival service covers the UK. To extend it to France for 2 weeks they wanted an extra £89, so that was over £100 for membership plus £89 for 2 weeks cover in France so I went with ADAC which cost around £98 for myself and my wife and cover for ALL of the EU saving nearly 100 quid.
When I cancelled the RAC membership they came crying to me asking me to stay and offering a reduced rate. My answer was,if you can reduce it now why didnt you reduce it on renewal?

Only renewed AA in June so wanted a single trip for now but will look into ADAC and see if AA will cancel ( doubt very much )
