A very good first day. Thought the weather may have been a bit iffy but it turned out to be a glorious day.

I'm impressed with the campsite - very clean, friendly staff and campers and a mix of nationalities.

Close to pretty little town should you want to walk in.

The pool area was busy today with very few, if any, spare loungers and they are sited quite close to the water, so be prepared to get splashed if people are chucking balls about.

We are currently wandering around the animal enclosures, which appear to have electric fences as well as wooden ones!

We stayed there a few years ago and were impressed with the site and the people that ran it although I think it has changed ownership since then.

The market in the town is worth a visit, and of course the supermarket is a few minutes walk away. There is a very good restaurant in the village, I think you turn right out of the campsite, keep walking and it is near the bridge. I think the restaurant owner is a neighbour of the campsite owner.
It is a lovely site, especially the animals part.

What can that mean? The section for less privileged visitors? Or non Club members? or what?

We stayed here in June, we showed up and booked in for 2 nights, then added a third. We thought it was a lovely site, we pushed the boat out and went for a pitch with a private bathroom! A nice easy stroll into the town, and we found an excellent butcher there so we cooked each night rather than eating out. Out of school holidays, I would not hesitate to stay there again!

Mudders, we have also gone for a private bathroom and it makes a huge difference when tenting!

Having a fab time - it lashed it down from 11pm until 9am and, thankfully, the tent held up brilliantly.

Met some great people but our neighbours could be a little more cultured. ;-) They're lovely really!

How very dare you Robbo! I only tried the €1.49 a litre rosé for a laugh to see if it was drinkable! I could quickly go off people you know.........

Must agree, Haliotis is a great site, loving the private bathroom too. Even with a caravan it makes a big difference, especially with there being 2 adults, 2 older kids and a 3 year old. Definitely a campsite I would return to! Big thumbs up from us!!

we stayed there in June and really liked it but the noise of the road was so so loud at night that I just could sleep with it - we were in a tent up at the private bathrooms and think maybe if we were at the other end of the site it mightnt have been as loud ?
But in general a great site and a great location

Oh 4 vents is lovely - so quiet and peaceful, spotlessly clean and huge pitches - we stayed for a week mainly for Disney and it was just perfect . It was really empty when we were there i think we counted 15 tourers and 2 tents including us.
