hi everyone. life in blighty just doesnt do it for me anymore,so a couple of months ago i headed for estonia to take a peek at this small but wonderfull country.when i returned to blighty i was the proud owner of 2.7 hectares of estonia!!...(half forest, half field).after a few meetings with the local town hall i have been given permission to put plans together to develop and build my very own campsite with about 70-80 pitches to be built.basically i have everything to do!,elec,water,phone,sewage,toilets,shower,reception,plots....ect..ect.the whole whack!!.i reckon ive got at least half a brainand loads of get up and go,so why not?get stuck in and dont give up!!.so all you caravaners out there,i say head north and sample the delights of estonia!!.if your heading north next summer(2006) and you come across a delightful town named parnu on the west coast of estonia then check me out!!.i should be the only englishman runnning his camp up there.it would be nice to hear from anyone who has had a similar project on the boil.any members with any questions are most welcomed.

Congratulations, welcome, and goodbye!

When will you be leaving to work on this project, and what about a name? Are you up for suggestions? Perhaps you could hold a competition.

I've been told that Estonia is also the place where they sell the cheapest but soundest saunas upnorth ;-) I don't think you can run a place up there without considering to have one of them. The idea of log cabins is great, that's how they do it in northern Scandinavia: in that way you can rent places even in winter time. You should also check with the people there if it is required/expected to have heating cables in the parking places for the cold season.

Why don't you ask for volunteers to help out with the work.  Caravanners are very resourceful people, and I imagine there are lots of us who wouldn't mind a bit of hard work in return for somewhere unusual to stay for a week or so?    Especially if you install said wooden sauna as a priority!!!!
