After being booked into the River Dart country park in Devon since May, we have learned today that it has been closed due to an outbreak of norovirus. We are due to arrive on Sunday! Needless to say we need to book somewhere else pretty quick and are looking at Les Vikings in Normandy.
Has anyone been or have any tips? Ideally we would like decent outdoor pools and a beach close by. We have 3 boys aged 4, 7 and 9.
Thanks in advance

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Have you costed in your crossing? Not sure how much you'll pay now at such short notice. Have you camped in France before? If not, take a look at the tips above as you will need to (quickly) buy a few bits that you don't need in the UK. Can't advise re that site as we go further South but generally French sites are very good quality and value compared to UK sites. You are likely to need to book at most beachside sites with pools at this time of year and may struggle to find a pitch at the popular sites, but don't panic, it's doable!
Even costing in a DFDS crossing, the price is equal to what we were paying anyway. The site has availability and looks very nice, I'm just nervous as it's all a bit rushed! UK sites are fully booked due to the August Bank Holiday and we enjoy Villa holidays in France so may just bite the bullet and go for it!
