We have cruised to Norway three times so are aware just how expensive it is. Pack plenty of food, or stay east so you can get into Sweden when you need food (its what locals do). Eating out is so expensive, i.e. Small takeaway pizza £20, Burger King advertise a whopper is "only" £11! Fuel isn't too bad, 10-15p or so a litre more than UK.
Campsites we have seen look amazing, well looked after and in great locations. Eastern areas are drier, fjords are simply stunning and the main Fjord ports which are all stunning aren't too far apart by road, which are quiet and well maintained, they are also masters of tunnelling, 5+ miles is quite normal! Gerainger would be on my list, but if you can find some days when no ships are in port it will be much quieter, or stay a few days and enjoy the place after the ships have gone.
Stavanger is a beautiful place, Oslo worth visiting. Alesund is a pretty town and handy for the Troll Road and Troll wall.

We travelled to Norway, via Denmark and returned through Sweden in 2008 with our folding camper...you can read more about it in our blog...http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blog/thetravelmoores/2/tpod.html
We found the roads a bit narrow and hairy so only drove half our normal distance in any one day, plus we kept stopping to take in the spectacular views. The campsite at Laerdal was excellent and you can visit Flam with its' railway, the Laerdal Tunnel, as well as a fjord cruise all from there.
We took as much coffee, cereals, wine as we could carry as they are all quite expensive. Eating out was restricted to lunch-time set menus, or the buffet menu at the salmon farm. These were comparable to a good meal back at home.
Make sure you start each day's travel with a full fuel tank! Petrol stations are few and far between and mostly unmanned. If you want to go right up North, the drive in Sweden is easier for the longer distances.
We would love to go again now that we have a motorhome, towing was a bit of a white-knuckle adventure.
