We're just returned. went last year too and requested the same pitch as it was really well placed. some of the pitches near the play area are quite small (Row E) We were pitched on G18 which was near to the multisports. Has a massive grass area in front which is great for ball games/bikes etc. Our kids are 10 and 7 and enjoyed cycling round the multisports and on the grass. The circus pitches up on the grass once a week during the season which is always exciting to watch. They arrive about 8am, spend all morning putting the tent up, show at 8 and take it all down when the show is done and are gone by 11pm. The multisports is opened about 9.30am and locked up by 10.30 but you don't really notice the noise. I'd say the playarea pitches are noiser for longer.
The ones near the lake are quieter, but a bit removed so not great for secruity (my opinion) G1 - G12 where a good size, but very near the pool and the noise that brings.
the ones near the the very back of the play area (E19 TO 28 and C14 to 22 seemed like a nice but still not as big.
Row A and B were ok too, quieter after the toilet block.
The toilet blocks were cleaned frequently, showers decent, with hairdryers and electric points (even UK plug sockets) have washers/dryers if you want to keep on top of the washing while away.
Pool complex is nice, and outside pool which you wade into and is about a metre deep at one end, a inside pool thats 150cm deep which has a retracting roof, slides which are fast (one long tube slide and 3 short slides) great fun for everyone. There is a toddler splash area but didn't really use that. Could always find a lounger next to the pool.
There is a small farm, a bouncy castle, takeway, and shop. As well as a nice restaurant just outside the main gates
You can hire bikes, and go karts, go on pony rides, play golf etc. There is a kids club, and a few nights where they have a kids disco or a singer but really is a fairly quiet site for nightlife so if you enjoy evening entertainment you might be disappointed.
