Have you looked at Le Brasilia, which has beach access but is a bit further south, and is possibly a bit cheaper????

I'd love to try Brasilia but they only do Sat-Sat in peak season, and after travel we only have 12 days left so it would mean us paying for 14 and using only 12. It's consistently highest ranking site in the area on another popular European review site.

Thanks Val, Brasilia works out at 68 euros for the same period, comfort pitch, 2 adults and 2 kids. I guess that's the sort of price that Les Castels would charge and is much more respectable than 95 euros.

Having just returned from La Serignan another yelloh overseen site. Not quite as far down can thoroughly recommend it, heated pools, kids pool, slides, beach access 2 on site restaurants, pizzas, bakery, butchers, fish, markets, take away, you name they had it. Its so good we booked for 3 weeks while there for next year, as many others were booking to go back. Its 60 euros though we now get a free night so its about 57 every pitch was decent size now they don’t have comfort eg with water but pretty what every four pitches have there own water. Showers superb, so not needed a comfort pitch unless its the size factor and there weren’t many small pitches.

Glad to help! It does get good reviews, though isn't a site we've visited. Enjoy the 'extras' you can buy for the 27 euros per night difference.

£33 per night! That wasn't school holidays then was it? It's all very well for people who can take their kids out of school - I'm married to a teacher and have kids in the school she teaches in so we don't get that choice.

I don't mind spending more on a site if it means I get what I want. So if it's an expensive site and it means you get, to choose the pitch in a good position, sunbeds round the pool, well kept grounds and facilities, and a personal cleaner in each toilet block then I'm OK with a high price. But if all your doing is paying a high price in return for a packed site, no knowing where your pitch will be, poor facilities and having to listen to loud music being enjoyed by a bunch of muppets then I don't go there.

We're just on our way back from Les Sablons, which is just down the road from La Yole so went to have a look and we decided it was a no go for us, very tired looking site and not directly on beach as Les Sablons is. We made pottery and had a go at origami, all part of the included activities. We've enjoyed it that much we've already booked for next year. Booked a Roan ready tent
