I know i have come across several campsites on here that have gite accommodation as an alternative to camping. Can anyone think of any, i cant find them!

La cabane in the Dordogne, Vezac, has two but they're not very 'posh' but Chez Gallon chambre d'hotes on the same site has 5 bites of varying prices and sizes, one has a pool.
Camping de la Plage near Port Grimaud and Saint Tropez have a few in the area of the site across the road from the beach. link is studio/appartments from their homepage.

Actually this is a good idea. We split our August holiday half camping , half in a gite with our family this year. The gite was nice but we missed the campsite summer vibe. Good to combine both.

Yes, fabulous spot - unfortunately I haven't been well this holiday, so didn't actually swim (though OH did). We're still in that area - or rather near to Revel now, sitting under a cloudless sky.
However, there has been extensive flooding everywhere else, and I'm not sure yet whether our friend in the Aude is OK. His house has a river at the bottom of the garden.` He doesn't phone, just emails intermittently so will wait on his next visit to McD's in Limoux!!

Thanks all......had a look, sadly most of the gites are really small for a family of 5, so i think its the Languedoc again for us next year but not in a tent!
