Want to visit northern France Christmas market. Only have the weekend so don't want to drive too far - any suggestions gratefully received.

Ask the tourist office in Boulogne for the dates of the Christmas market there. We went for a weekend and stayed overnight at the Ibis hotel at the top of the town - just a stroll into the old walled part of the city for dinner, and home the next day.

When i was on a school trip to Arras the guide said their christmas market was very good ( though hardly an impartial view i know). It was a nice town and we have planned to go at some point for the christmas market.
