I'm considering Tamarit Park near Tarragona. It looks great in the website. Has anyone been? It's such a big decision I need to get it right! We are two adults and 2 teenagers (18 and 15). Any opinions would be gratefully received. Thanks.

We went there in 2007 and found the biggest issue was its location, we needed to travel to get to anything. The approach road was concerning with a dilapidated caravan storage facility. The campsite itself was very pleasant and attractive, the pitches are gravelly and under trees. The toilet block was clean but busy especially around tea time. The site is right on the beach but would say the water is not suitable for little ones as it shelves quite quickly and deeply. The pool complex was never busy and was a simple affair.there was entertainment in the evening but found people would come out to watch but when finished would disappear quickly so lacking any atmosphere. There is a shop and restaurant also a take away.. The tourist information on site was very good and the staff very helpful. The site is a mixture of statics tourers and tents. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would look for somewhere less remote.
If you want I can email you some pics of the site.

I know what you mean! It's such a big decision! I was looking at Playa Montroig too but they never answered my emails asking about booking. Tamarit have replied and I found that you can see photos of the pitches too on the website which is helpful. So I might make a decision soon....
Yes so true, Playa didn't reply either and ended up calling a number of times only to be told that someone would contact me via email in 48 hours, waited a week but finally got an email back, I guess they was busy with winding down summer etc, but Tamarit email me back straight away with plots available. Tamarit is lovely and you can see all the pitches. I guess was moved us more to Plata Montroig was the pools with slides and that was after weeks of debating over both lovely sites
Let me know how you get on and good luck
