Camping Municipal le Salagou, at Clermont L'Herault is open all year, so you shouldn't have a problem - not luxurious, but fine for an overnight, and cheap fuel nearby. Lovely olive oil from one of the shops in the village, too.
Check out the municipal campsites website for any others which may be open at the end of October.
Camping Les Vals at Lodeve states it is open until the end of October, as does Le Pins Parasol at St Thibery which is just off the A9.
