Hi All has anyone taken the M30 route through Madrid from Bilbao during the day, if so what was it like, or would you recommend taking an alternative route.

I've been through Madrid on that road lots of time daytime, night time and rush hour, its a huge carriageway, sometimes 6 lanes, never had a problem or a need to find an alternative, best experience was in December at 1am when the police closed the motorway before the services and forced every vehicle to go into the services where they breathalysed every driver!

Used the M30 at the end of December last year but it was a Sunday and we cruised through without stopping once.
