Well on the opposite side of things.....

£Mega Bucks for a joined up policy as opposed to much less 'Bucks' just to write down and have access to 2 Telephone Numbers, one for Breakdown & the other for Health, seems a better proposition especially as the difference which would more than likely be Pure Profit for the 'Complete Policy Organisation' does nothing to enamour me when we also consider the fiasco of 'Bankers Profits'

But you pays your money and takes your choice!

We've always used insure and go, my daughter has congenital heart disease and my husband has hypertension...there is a small extra charge (about £1.80ish) for the hypertension, but the CHD is covered free of charge. We've never had to claim, so can't comment on whether they are any good in a crisis.

It's something I personally wouldn't travel without.

What cover please? Car breakdown and recovery, or personal medical cover, or both?

Others will advise on the first part, but for the second you could get advice from moneysupermarket.com choosing a single trip policy of the length you require.
