We have stayed at camping Lac Blue at Doussard at the southern end of the lac - it is a lakeside site with superb views and a marina next door with paddle board and boat hire. There were lots of dutch families there with teenagers and my teenage son mixed happily with them. The pool complex is nice and modern but less appealing than the lakeside beach.
Directly across road you have access to a traffic free cycle path that you can rise all the way up to old annoy along. stopping off at the various ferry pontoons to jump into the lake.
it is also possible to catch the lake ferry to many of it's stopping points including Annecy town from just outside the campsite.
------------- It's only an expensive hobby when it's parked on your Drive....use it, love it , live it.

Oh no another one to consider! Both the teenagers would actually say pool over beach though.By pool what they really one is exciting bits like whirlpools and slides however small they are! I Noticed Lac Blue was directly on the water. Looks good to me but I'm not 15 😊
Going back to L'Ideal we have seen it when passing by in the car every year since 2004 when I say crammed I really mean it was spilling over no room for campers to park their cars at their pitch. Jam packed. I don't think the pool complex looks as good as Europa and not the same standard of site either a bit trashy looking. Just my opinion but Europa looks a better bet to me and backs straight onto cycle track. Lac Bleu is a lovely setting but have to cross a busy fast road to get onto the cycle track. Good luck with your search not easy keeping everyone happy speaking from experience!

Hm still not decided but swaying towards Europa. My son (17) says he is quite happy with a dutch campsite as at least it still feels like being abroad!
We have stayed at Europa and the pool is good, but I would question whether there is enough to entertain a 17 year old. Also, when we were looking to book back in January for August, they were pretty full!

We stayed here in 2006. Again, no pool, but with direct access to the lake, that didn't bother us ... also right next to the main cycle path ... not as expensive as some, and we found it great.
