I just downloaded one of the free maps,Uk and Ireland, yesterday after hearing about CoPilot on local radio. I tried it out on a route simulation and it seems to be very good, even showing route signs, junctions and lane guidance. However, I was unable to force it to give preference to motorways and more caravan friendly routes.
Has anyone used this and is there a way of planning a route.
Oh, I forgot to say that it gives at least 3 alternative routes to a destination but I still didn't get a route I would have preferred when towing.

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I do not Tow, but I am a keen Windows Phone user, and I find the Here Maps excellent, and you can download the maps and use them off line as well. It works well both in Europe and the UK.
Last time I used CoPilot was on Windows Phone 6 (might have been WP7), and I found it buggy and kept crashing then, I appreciate that things have moved on since then, but I have not bothered going back to it as Here Maps is very good.
Hi,
I use Co-Pilot on a Google Nexus 7 mounted in the car. We have used it on 3 recent trips to Europe and it has been fantastic as a back up/failsafe. Great value for money and the maps are really good with finer detail than I expected.
The route can be dragged and dropped if you are not happy with the alternatives it gives. I have compared it with Via Michelin and Google mapping and satnav and the suggested routes are usually very similar.
All in all on of the best value bits of kit I have recently purchased especially when you already have the hardware to run it on!!!
