Keycamp and Eurocamp brochures are a good place to look for information on sites. Also the Camping and caravan clubs overseas holiday brochure.
What length is you caravan, some sites close to the coast have length restrictions, as the pitches tend to be smaller.

With DLP knocked on the head, we could afford more time to go a bit further south and maybe get better weather.
I've got brochures coming from everyone. Like you said, a good place to start and then once narrowed down we can then start searching for the best prices online.

Another advantage of trying RCN Camping La Ferme Du Latois, is that it gives you the easy opportunity to check out, in the flesh so to speak, the other, "more commercial" sites in the immediate vicinity, around Lac du Jaunay. Namely Le Pin Parasol, Village De La Guyonniere, La Garangeoire, and Le camping la Bretonnière.

We spent a pleasant day ambling between them all on our push bikes (Yes... you can amble on bikes... we do it all the time!! )

Suffice to say, for the two of us, we're more than happy to return to RCN!

Put the brochures away Franny, stop searching for prices. Just put the kids in the car, hitch up the caravan, take a decent site guide, and go travelling. Easy.

Even better...leave the kids at home and just go for it.
