Hi, trying to plan this years hols. Back to France again after a break. Taking large tent this time. Can anyone recommend a late night hotel stop over the other side of tunnel . Don' t want to have hassle of putting tent up just for a few hours sleep And done the whole sleeping in the car thing...too old for that now, want a but of comfort!
Thanks x
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
I would be careful stopping in euro tunnel area due to high number of immigrants who are trying to get to the uk plus many break in to cars looking for money or things to sell.. be better staying 10 plus miles away..

Campanile, ibis, kyriad, Hotel B&B, Etap (now Ibis Budget I think). We have used them all as overnighters over the years before catching a ferry or train and there is not much to choose between them except price. They all have at least one around Calais and they all have secure parking. I use Booking.com to get an idea of prices for my dates. You have a huge choice of Calais hotels on there. Our favourite is Ibis Calais (not Ibis Calais Tunnel) for its nice bar, decent food in the restaurant and lovely staff.
