Just tried to book Domaine de Massereau in Languedoc but unfortunately it's already full for our dates - 2 weeks from 3rd August. Flexible on dates but not as much as there only availability which is from the 12th.
Do you know any good alternatives?
Our perfect campsite would be like this: good pool area, nice bar (and restaurant) on site, walking distance from pretty town, child-friendly cycle routes from site, dog friendly and fairly south for good chance of lots of sun.
We're staying the previous week in Dordogne so anywhere up to 5 hours drive from there would be good.
Not a lot to ask is it!?!? ;)

There is a site not far from Sommieres, which is further on the cycle route on the disused railway, which passes Massereau: Camping les Chenes at Junas

Do you particularly want that area? Wondering if you might consider heading coastal wise in the other direction, near the Bicarosse area, or somewhere similar? Otherwise you could lok at some of the coastal sites along the Languedoc? From what I recall, Masserau is a fairly large site, so some of the coastal sites might be what you are looking for, but I can't help as we prefer smaller sites. Good luck!

We have been to Domaine de Massereau a few times and there isn't many sites that have that standard of pool and only 120 pitches.
Based on your criteria you could try Les Ranchisses in the Ardeche or Val de Cantobre in the Tarn. We travelled between the Dordogne and Les Ranchisses a couple of years ago and it took us about 5 hours, although we did travel 'straight' via Rodez and Mende.
Both these sites are bigger but where previously Castels sites in the past.
If you can do without the type of pool then you would open up opportunities for more sites in the type of location you seek. In my experience sites that are in good locations sell on their position alone and don't worry about slides etc.
