We have booked to go DLP in May half term at 4 Vents. WE are due to go back to either France or Germany again in July, seems logical to leave the van over there.

Anyone recommend a place where we can store it for a few months and thus saving a bit of ferry and fuel costs.

Thanks in advance.

You can google 'Gardiennage de Caravanes' and the name of a town which might be appropriate (ie if you arrive in Calais than Calais, but if Dieppe, then Dieppe) and a list will come up of places offering storage.

I can't recommend anywhere personally as we store our van further south near Chateauroux.

Read your insurance conditions, some policies do not cover caravan left unattended for over 24hrs in Europe. It depends on the value of your caravan & if you want to risk it. It might be better to find some storage on a campsite then if it caught fire or was damaged you could at least pretend to the insurance co. you were there.

You can insure your caravan for storage overseas, with Towergate Baker and you may find it's cheaper than storing in this country - and includes a few extras.
