Hi has anyone stayed at the campsite la bougidau. Struggling to find a campsite in the south west area, with a big enough pool area to keep three boys 9/12/16 intereared. We need fridge hire wich la Sylvermar near by doesn't offer. TIA. Symon

There are four reviews of Boudigau on the Dutch website Zoover, in English and lots more in other languages. It scores 7.7 out of ten, but more from the British visitors than the other nationalities.

Hi

It was a long (ish) time ago but we stayed here about 10 years ago.
We absolutely loved it. The pool area is supervised and pleasant but the main attraction for your boys will be the water park 1/2 a mile up the road ( http://www.aquatic-landes.com
The beach is a 5 minute walk down the road but although life guards are on duty I wouldn't let the younger boys swim or surf without supervision as the tide and currents can be fierce.
There re many pleasant cycle rides through the forests and lots of local attractions within a short drive.
My overriding memory of Labennne Ocean is the view from the beach of snow capped mountains, a wild ocean and Spain visible across the bay.
