I've just had a flyer from Eurocamp offering holidays in May 2015 from just £135 - and this includes seven nights in a tent, PLUS a Dover/Calais mid week off peak ferry crossing (car only, obviously) but this is actually cheaper than taking your own equipment.

There is also a 5% loyalty bonus if you've used Eurocamp before.

Some great offers. I checked 16th May for seven nights: £126 at Domaine de Drancourt, £117.60 at Bien Assise, £147.00 at Le Brevedent, and further afield £130.20 at Le Paradis at St Leon in the Dordogne, £117.60 at Soleil Plage - definitely worth checking out if you want a cheap holiday!

These are the basic prices, and I haven't checked any other details!

However, selecting fourteen days instead of seven puts up the price substantially as it takes in a bank holiday.

Looks good. I remember Canvas did the same thing a couple of years ago and we got a week in the Loire in a good quality static at the end of May for about £150.

Two of our daughters are expecting babies (our first grandkids) in May otherwise we'd have jumped at this. ... we're holding until August before we're next over there.

I'm also assuming that out of season sales may not have been so great for Eurocamp, hence the offer.

We used one of these holidays too - a couple of years ago - and used the free ferry crossing, but extended the holiday and continued down to pick up our own caravan! The return ferry was four weeks later!

Brilliant value, i have done a Canvas holiday in May half term and it actually cost £98

Great post Val !
We have done a few Eurocamp May breaks and they are such good value .

We have also found that eurocamp get a good discount on ferries, particularly as we prefer the western channel crossings . This even applies if you are only staying with them for stopovers. This year we are stopping in the Loire on the way to the Dordogne and back with eurocamp and the ferry discount is still applicable and has saved us loads .

We always do Eurocamp at Easter as it's such good value, even in the school holidays. Whit is manageable too, but their school Summer holidays are very expensive, generally.

Yup. We missed last year and are getting withdrawal symptoms! Cheeky 5 nights at Koningshof, couldn't bear another time at the awful Duinrell!
