Try Harwich to Hook of Holland - some people have reported good prices on that route., with daytime crossings without a cabin being cheaper than overnight.
look at dfds direct we paid £206,towing with a toyota van which always costs us more.thats return,we only live 30mins from hull but have not done hull/zeebrugge for few years,to expensive we go dover.travel through night for early crossing.

It depends if you think its worth paying that amount. Have you checked prices for Hull/Rotterdam? looks like a return is £500-£600 so depending on your Belg. destination could be an alternative or change your plans & camp in Holland, its a good place to go, nice campsites with loads of activities within fairly short drive of ferry.
Check out the prices with the Caravan Club as part of a package with Camping Cheques, though I have a feeling that there were previous posts suggesting that this was a limited offer only until early March. Caravans are often free on Saturday/Sunday so it may be worth playing around with your dates a little to see if anything better comes along.
I think if you've booked a site then you may not have an option but to pay whatever is being charged, because there's no doubt that all ferry prices have gone up significantly this year.
We're going out Hull to Rotterdam in August and back Zeebrugge to Hull in September plus Club cabins each way, 2 adults, car and caravan for £461, booked through Caravan Club. That was booked in November though with just a deposit paid and travelling on Saturdays for the free caravan offer.

Don't know of this is an option but take a look at DFDS out of immingham. It's primarily a freight port.
