We're thinking of visiting Liguria; La Spezia coast; Como/Maggiore; maybe Dolomites areas over a month. Many site reviews seem off-putting about caravan access and also noise. Have you any recommendations for quiet, reasonable sites, preferably with ACSI or C/Cheques? Many thanks.

Camping Holiday, Feriolo di Baveno (sorry, never succeeded with links), Review on here, ACSI 2678 this year.
On the shore of Lago di Maggiore, private sand beach, very small only 46 pitches, immaculately kept, very friendly, very quiet, good restaurants in Feriolo, good market and supermarket in Verbania, loads to do, spent 10 days there last year and 2013, if you see another Lunar Quasar there it'll be us

For Liguria Highly recommend Diano Marina - beautiful site and the town and beach are lovely and just a few minutes from the campsite

Also a bit further down towards La Spezia we really liked this campsite at Devia Marina

As we visited in winter sites were quiet and well priced, not sure on how they would in summer but both of above were really well kept, clean and within a couple of minutes of beaches and towns.

But you don't know the person who is giving you the recommendation.. One man's meat can be another man's poison.
