I feel a bit cheeky asking as I am a new boy on this site, but I will any way
Would anyone be able to let me know any discount codes valid for August. I have just had a quote from BF which is a bit of a squeeze..
On a side note, after my first post last week. A friend who I haven't seen for 17 years saw it and got in touch. Turns out he is a camping nut and we are organising a canvas get together !

Join yourself. It will save you 30% which is better than the 10% from using someone else's code. People get into a lot of bother from BF from sharing codes outside of "friends and families." I know ..... I did!
for august unless you are going solo in the car and going at the cheapest economie crossings you will save more than the joining fee and the membership by joining yourself
next yr being cheaper again

With the registration fee £70 (payable on application) plus annual membership fee £65 it was always marginal for us, as the discount doesn't apply to standard o/n cabins.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Yep, it comes into its own when you use it every year and ideally more than once a year. The o/n crossing acts as our stopover and I refuse to subject us to the hell of chairs in public areas, so cabin it has to be.
We've pondered the pro's and con's every year but this will likely be our last time for SW France I think so that's it. "Friends" code used. Until this I'd never heard of an issue with one. But I'll keep the member's name committed to memory in case they ask. Never happened yet, but still.
Where you off to Russ?
We've retired from tent camping now but this was our BL by the Dordogne

We are going to a small site near Bezier, so it's a 1000km trek.
I notice that you have been to Capeyrou. We were going to go back this year as its a lovely site. Just fancied a change so thought we would go a bit further this time.
Indeed. A change is as good as a rest. We're too old now for tent wrangling in that heat so have a cottage this year further west, to pick up St Emilion and Bordeaux and the coast, but that will likely be it for the SW for us. Maybe east or south-east like you next year.
So many places....

Never mind a write up, sample bottles would be a much better idea.
