We have just bought an anssems GT750 trailer before we had the trailer we used a bike rack on the back attached to the spare wheel of our discovery td5. Does anyone know if we can still use the bike rack or will we have to get a bike rack that goes on the trailer. We can't put the bikes on the car roof as we have a roof box on there. Thanks

Get roof bars that go on top of the tailer
Do you have the lid with the trailer?
If so Thule bars or similar WILL fit. Then attach bike racks to the top of the tailer.
I bought my bars second hand.

The Anssems trailer is fantastic and can be extended as the kit grows. We have had ours for 5 years and towed from the north of Scotland to Cornwall and as far as La Richeel.

We thought if the bikes could stay on the bike rack we already have then we could put the roof box on the trailer so we wouldn't have any problems packing the roof box on the way home as we need a ladder to reach it when its on the car.

Your only consideration is that trailer can be turned without hitting bikes. So put bikes on rear rack as normal, hook up trailer & slowly turn with an assistant watching. Provided trailer will turn fully left & right without hitting bikes then you are good to go.

it can be locked to car & means u dont have to take trailer with you to carry bikes... current car has swan neck so £20 if any good to you....
