Hi all.
We're looking for ideas for next year. We are a couple in our 50s without children but with mobility issues. (My wife uses a wheelchair but can walk a little) We also have a trailer tent we'd be taking with us.
We enjoy cities and theme parks and are currently booked to return to Duinrell in Holland and would like to try something similar next year. Any recommendations?

Hi hubby suggested Slagharen: here.
theme park in Holland near to the German boarder.
Also here
I presume a campsite search would show sites near to The Efteling.
Haven't been to Slagharen myself & it's been many years since hubby went, i have been to The Efteling but it has been 6 years ago, lots to walk around set in different fairy tale lands spoken stories around the exhibits, translated into several languages.
Also park rides so plenty to keep busy.
We have just returned from Efteling. We stayed at the accommodation on site. What a fab place to visit. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We do have two children but we all loved it. It was so quiet because it was not school holidays in the Netherlands when we visited. We then drove to Germany to visit relatives. We didn't camp this time but I had found a mini-camp near to Efteling on line.

We lived in Germany for 5 years, near the dutch border( I am ex RAF). Both countries are great.
As well as those items mentioned, Koln and Dusseldorf are pleasant cities with nice parks and walks on the Rhine banks.
We used to like Venlo for shopping, Arnhem and Nijmegen are nice too.
We are planning to return on an extended trip now we are retired.

There are ACSI sites at Herbolzheim and Riegel, which I think are both near Europa Park. We will be at the Riegel site next month for a few days, but we don't "do" theme parks so can't comment.
