Hello, I'm planning our first trip abroad in our campervan to Germany this summer. Has anyone been to Germany and pre-ordered a Umwelt zone badge?

I seem to have found the same thing but the price is different. Has anyone used the Berlin Office of public affairs to order theirs for 6 EURO?

thanks

Hi,

the Berlin site is genuine and OK - used by many owners.

I have purchased a couple of Umwelt Plakettes from the Berlin office. Quick and cheap service. You will need to be able to send a copy of your V5 electronically. I scan mine and send as .jpeg file.

Used the Berlin office 3 years ago - no problems and very cheap.

Just to bring this to the front again.
I sent for the sticker via the Berlin website on the 9/2/16 and received
it back 13/2/16 (very good service) only cost €6. Now all set for Germany.

As usual this site comes up trumps with best info.

Cheers Colin

It's a bit like the London LEZ. You need to show that your vehicle is Euro4 or better to travel into most city centres. This means that you need a sticker for your windscreen to show that your vehicle complies.

I'm off to Germany myself, but not planning to be in any city centres where the zone applies.

We waited until we got to Germany then called at the equivalent of an MOT garage in a small town (we just asked around). We were re-directed several times but overall it was trouble free and ost very little tho I can't remember just how much!

And all this was done with no German language skills but a lot of gesticulating! !!
