Just back from our first trip using the Brittany Ferries Club Voyage and would fully recommend it. The 30% saving was good on the ferry cost. We travelled out Portsmouth to St Malo and came back Caen to Portsmouth. Both overnight crossings and we were upgraded each time to a better cabin, which was a pleasant surprise. There were discounts on evening meals and Brittany ferries definitely beat the other Ferry Operators for food quality. We didn't manage to get up in time for the £7.90 discount on each of our breakfasts on the outbound, but it meant a free English breakfast on the return journey, which saved us getting ripped off at UK motorway services.
Now we have caravan storage in France, ferry crossings, even with a cabin, are easily affordable. Going three times this year.

Only recently had the advantage of this pointed out to me.
Immediate savings on a single trip, with greater savings here after.
I will be signing up to this next year when we plan to take the same route for overnight crossings with cabins.
Yes you can join even if you already have a booking, assuming you have not paid the full balance yet.
We have booked the same routes as you, also in August, and when we booked, the man told us to phone up around the beginning of June to join Club Voyage and then when the full balance becomes due we will receive the discount.

Don't forget you can 'share' your membership with others (such as people on here) who also benefit from the reductions, and then you are credited with £10 towards the cost of your next crossing!

BF get very upset if they see you sharing your code on line. Its for friends and family in the narrowest sense. I had my membership suspended for sharing on line. Had to get posts removed ........
To be honest, I think that for caravanners you save more by being a member than by using someone elses code. Thats even with the first year extra joining fee.
My saving on the June crossing with the 'van is paying for a September crossing on the motorbike along with free day cabins to stash my bike gear so I don't have to walk round the ferry dressed like a cross between a Power Ranger and a member of the SS.
Can be marginal for car/tenters especially when o/n cabins are excluded.
But still worth it after the yr1 reg fee of £70 if you need a western route every year, especially if you go more than once a year, although I'd guess that's more likely 'vanners and MH'ers.
Our Portsmouth >St Malo and Caen >Portsmouth with o/n cabins this year might be our last for western France otherwise we would probably have joined even so.

My advice is worth no more than the price paid for it
Yes. I'm not sure about the future either. Our preferred crossing is from Hull - we're northerners. But the cost rocketed at the time that we like to get our booking done. As it is it will come out roughly the same this year once overnights to catch the ferry and extra fuel are factored in.
Nothing on earth would induce me to drive from the Wirral to Dover again.

Ha. It's nearly as bad as Yorkshire to Dover. Or the "no cabins" Cherbourg to Portsmouth fastboat. That's a real 4 hours of hell, right there
The reason why we might not go west again is actually because we're pondering eastern France for next year, and if a similar service at similar cost is comparable then, we'll try Hull - 90 minutes for us.
