But seriously I think that it's optimistic to believe that having someone make a call from ones home phone would prove to Saga insurance company that the home was "occupied" - when their definition of occupied is "lived in".
Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Our usual meandering ( almost 4 weeks ) down through France, this year to Collioure before turning round and meandering back a different way, but always starting and ending at our favourite, Le Chant D'Oiseau . We make the meander part of the holiday and always discover mmore little gems . France is so big we never tire of it!

Nice one Ollie. The old ones are the best

I checked very specifically as to their definition of "occupied". It was stated that it was evidence of occupation as opposed to "lived in" ( which is not mentioned in the literature)
I even pointed out what I intended to do, and they agreed it satisfied their requirements
After an overnighter at Black horse, we catch early tunnel to Calais.
Head down to Luxembourg for 3 nights, Black Forest for 10 nights, then back to Ypres, Belgium for 3 nights before coming home.
Not long now. Journey starts 30 June.
regards
Milly
