But Ollie you not towing and I assume many who don't tow can choose to use the tunnel; however there's a big difference in cost when towing between using the tunnel and a ferry, if you don't have the benefit of using Tesco vouchers.

But I am towing. Cost about £250 return and no need to go anywhere near Tesco.

FWIW, we'd still use the tunnel if not using Tesco vouchers. To us the convenience and speed would be worth the extra money.

We would use the tunnel without the vouchers, for the same reason as Ina.

You dont have to use Tesco to get vouchers. If you have a Tesco Credit card you can use it anywhere and still get points albeit half the amount you would get if shopping in Tesco.

I very rarely shop in Tesco but still manage to accrue enough vouchers to pay for a crossing or two.

We use the tunnel because of tesco and we only live a couple of hours away. Our kids are older and are happy with a quick stretch of the legs. If it wasnt for tesco vouchers we would use the ferries more.

We did use the ferries more when the kids were younger. We would time the ferry for a meal time and give them a good opportunity to walk about, get them in pjs and try to drive as long as possible the other side.

Use the tunnel, as getting stuff out of the car for a 90 minute crossing is a pain. Usually use Tesco vouchers, but used C&CC to come back last time, and still found it reasonable. Couldn't have come back from Belgium in a day by ferry.
