In France chatting to a mature Eurocamo rep, whi has lived in France for 10 yrs.I asked him why Motorhomes were so popular in France and he said that in France it was illegal to tow a caravan if you were more than 70 yrs of age????

I haven't heard or read that anywhere else but as the French have introduced many new towing laws recently it could just be the case. I shall try to investigate on 'official' websites to see what I can find.

I hope it is not so, we've just bought a caravan. My husband is 76 and I am 65!!!!I tow but wouldn't want to do the whole thing particularly....

blimey loads of oaps tow.one site we go to a lot we always have same pitch,old french couple on next pitch which we have made friends with over the years are in their late 80s,they go for 3months.dont think they be very happy.
