We stayed there a few years ago (2010) ... it was fine for a night or two .... probably not for longer ... it's very much used as a stop-over to see the town.
Pleasant enough on the river ... main road runs beside it ... though I don't remember heavy traffic noise.
Bus stop outside the entrance ... easy for getting into town and not having to bother about parking.

Kelper, is it easy to get to/access and did you book in advance? We will probably stay at the ACSI site at Neckargemund (cheaper!), but nearer the town might be better for a couple of nights.

No, Anne, didn't book ahead ... and there was plenty of space ... from what I remember it's open style i.e. no marked pitches.
Access is no problem, straight off main road.
