Broke down on M25 06:00 this morning. Vehicle been repaired now. We missed our ferry crossing. With myferrylink, they not answered phone all day.
Looking to either stay around Dover tonight on a site and get ticket changed. Suggestions for sites please
Go home.
Get ferry later today and stay local to Calais as we won't get to France till 8-9pm. Any suggestions for this option please?
I'm tempted to go via DFDS later today as only £80 or at 06:00 in morning.
Then what happens to original myferrylink return journey?

Bad luck, things can only get better. I would go to the myferrylink office in the port at Dover and see what they can do. Ask about the return if you decide to go with DFDS. Cross asap, if you get to France late, there is a site at Peuplingues just outside Calais which is easy to access, and cheap! If you go to Dunkirk, I think there is a site at Grand Fort Phillipe or Oye Plage? DFDS Have free wifi on board I think, so you can check.
Thanks for info. Had booked a one night in France. But we've broken down again, so game over.
Cheers for all the help

I doubt you have lost the booking. Phone them & explain situation & they will probably re book for crossing on another date this yr. You might have to pay amendment fee.
We ended up getting towed home after garage tried twice to repair. Third tow truck also broke down with us on it too. So a 19 hour day and didn't even get past 85 miles :(
We got home at 23:30, went to bed and decided first in the morning to ditch the KIA and the caravan and drive to Paris in a little i10. Amazed we got most of our caravan gear in the little fella. Rented a chalet, which added a bit extra in top but worth it as was hassle free driving down the Tolls.
So now sat with some red laughing at our misfortunes from Saturday. Thanks for the guidance.
