Anyone over wintering in Spain this year. We plan to go away in November and return at the end of March. We paln to start with a couple of weeks at a site between Peniscola and Benicarlo where we finished our last tour and its only 10 euros a night. Going to work our way south then skip across to Granada and Seville. Havent decided if to come back via Portugal or up centre of Spain.

We have the ACSI book so aware of all sites in this but would be interested in any other specific recommendations especially those with good winter deals. Also any other good wild camping spots. Would be happy to meet up with fellow travellers along the way so if you are going there and fancy some company for a few days then let me know. We have not fixed itinerary so can go as we please

Quite a few of the popular winter sites especially those on the coast can get full but mainly after Christmas.
The best deals to be had are when you stay for a month or more on the one site which some people don't like to.
Personally we now prefer to stay on one site and will be on a Camping Club Rally and will pay about £9 a night over a 4 month period. Although we only have a panel van conversion we will be towing a small car so we can make the most of the 4 month stay especially so I can go and play golf without moving the van everytime.
There will be thousands of motor homes trying to find free parking both in residential areas and along the coast so don't expect to be on your own.

Thats the one thing that worries me. We were travelling home between Xmas and New Year and we were the only camping car going North. It was literally a white convoy going South all the way from Figueres to Narbonne !! I think we accept that we will have to stay on sites as I dont want to be one of those who are giving campervans a bad name by clogging up residential streets and promenades. After all I know I would not like if people parked outside my home!!

So any site recommendations would be great and they dont have to be right down on the coast.
