After spending 5 nights at Camping La Garangeoire we are thinking of heading further up to Brittany for more of a beach holiday with the children (2 boys, 6 & 10).
Ideally we'd like a site where we can walk to a nice beach, with a nice town also within walking distance or if not, a short drive away.
We're not too bothered about a big site with a clubhouse, in fact as the youngest is only 6 a quieter site would be better for him getting off to sleep. Again, my main want from the site is clean facilities and a friendly feel.
So far, I like the look of Camping de la Plage but would value the thoughts of others who have visited the area.
Many thanks,
Paul

We`ve just returned from Camping du Poulquer at Benodet, and we loved it. The beach is 50 yards away, and the town is not much further. The pools are excellent, one indoor and an outdoor collection with pool and slides, and the showers etc. are a really good standard. We chose it over Du Letty because it was nearer the town and appeared less busy and `full-on`and we were not disappointed.
We will be at camping les helles in Combrit Sainte marine at the end of this month. 300m to the beach and a 10 min walk to town.
New indoor pool open this year and an outdoor one as well. Benodet is just over the river.

Camping Lann Hoedic near Sarzeau is a favourite of ours. A beautiful family run site ideal for young children, with a great play area and a short walk from a sandy beach. The pretty market town of Sarzeau is close by (about 15 minutes by bike or 5 minutes by car).

Thank you for all the suggestions. Having left it so late, we we're a little limited as to who still had availability. We've now booked Les Embruns (thanks Sally B), but for a couple of days less than we originally planned. With our spare days we plan to explore the Northern coast of Brittany, and will find sites on-route (I hope).
