We are looking to spend around 8 nights in either Brittany or the Loire before we head off to the Vendee. We like smaller, more rustic campsites where we can have a little fire and the boys (6and 9) can chase each with sticks!
Hubby loves birdwatching. I love peace and quiet, starry skies, animals! Maybe a little river/lake or canoe/boat hire.
We adored MK, Chant d'Oiseau, Chateau Monfreville, Moulin de la Geneste, so would like something of that ilk again ...but needs to have plenty of attractions or pretty places for day trips nearby as we do like to get out and about.
I have spent hours on here and am none the wiser. Hate to think we have exhausted the best sites and there is nothing left to offer us...surely not?

Don't forget to leave a review of the French and other European campsites you have visited!
Cool Camping has Milin Kerhe on their listings and a few other quirky sites too. That might be a good website to look at, but their sites are very scattered, and some possibilities are outside the area you are looking at, but La Ferme du Croas Men in Brittany might be one other to consider.
Alas I fear that when you get to La Ferme du Latois you will find it nothing like those others, but I hope you enjoy it all the same.
You are right, we are expecting RCN to be a bit different but it ticks a lot of other boxes for us and is convenient for Puy de Fou so we are risking it!
