Have just seen news online of campsites being evacuated because of forest fires in the Var region. Sorry, can't do linky thingy,but I'm sure someone else will be able to. Frejus was one place mentioned.

They were reporting 10000 evacuated from 3 sites. How big are those sites? I think I'd prefer to avoid them.

The Telegraph article I read this evening referred to three sites near Frejus which have been evacuated (I think some hoildaymakers have late Monday been told they can return to their site(s)) were:
Holiday Green (3,000);
Pin de la Legue (5,500); &
La Pierre Vert (1,500).

Sounds pretty bad with over 30 statics destroyed but thankfully no injuries or worse.
