We stayed there early September last year in a Venue Holidays MH and would happily go back again. Out of season the site was very quiet, perhaps 5% occupied. Our courier said that the previous month it was very noisy right into the night because of the funfair not far away. Good pool complex and the restaurant seemed reasonable value for money. Excellent boulangerie about half a mile away with probably the best croissants we've ever had in many years of French holidays.

When I said the site was quiet, being early September there were acorns continually falling from the many trees - not exactly a problem except that once or twice every minute, day and night, there would be a loud 'crack' when one landed on top of a MH or on wooden decking!

Yes, a tale of two sites, peak July and August is vastly different from May and September.

Hi, We have just come back from La Pinede, this site is just along the road and we found it fantastic! This was our second year there ... great on site waterpark, reasonably priced bar and rest, great animation team - site is mainly French but a huge effort is made to include English children - my boys (6&2) had a fabulous time. two toilet blocks - both immaculate - cleaned 3-4 times a day, modern etc, mini golf, park, small farm on site, sports pitch - exceptionally safe for bike riding as cars drive at a snails pace! would thoroughly recommend!
