This might seem like an odd question, but does anyone know what type of plug sockets they have in cabins. Just wondering if they are UK type or euro? Need to know if I need to get adaptors so I can charge my phone on the crossing.

If I remember rightly they had both last time we went, if you can wait until Thursday evening I can confirm when I'm onboard!

That would be great!

Really don't want to take them if I don't have to as its 1 less thing to buy & pack.

Hi there!
We were on the Stena Horizon from Rosslare to Cherbourg this summer and the cabin plug sockets were continental, so we needed adapters.
Hope this helps.

On the Harwich Hook boats they are continental sockets in the lounge bar area. Not been in the cabins. For the sake of a quid I'd take an adaptor.

Hi stace75

When we have travelled over to Holland using Stena Harwich to Hook of Holland crossing they have both types of sockets in the cabins.

Won't you need an adaptor when you get there anyway?

No probs, I assumed it's Harwich-Hook you're going on. Is this right?!

Just returned from the Hook to Harwich and there are both types in the cabin. UK type was by the beds and continental type on the dressing table/desk unit.

DaveS1, I have always taken an adapter but never used it. If on EHU, surely you will use the plug sockets in your tent/caravan which will be UK type. The only time I can think you might need one is if you use a hairdryer/straighteners in the toilet block.
